Berkvens was established in 1948 and has grown into a financially sound and independent company with about 450 employees. Berkvens BV is currently one of the most modern and leading producers of interior doors, interior doorframes and sliding door systems for both housing and commercial buildings. Continuous investments in product development and innovation, combined with total quality control, have resulted in Berkvens' strong position on the European market.

The group has production facilities in The Netherlands and Germany and sales offices in Germany, Belgium and France. In 2008 Berkvens opens up a sales office in the U.K. with local staff. Supply into the UK market has already commenced after successfully spending considerable time dealing with accreditation procedures. Berkvens is able to supply both timber and steel framed door sets. Besides painted doors Berkvens offers a wide variety of HPL and veneered doors.

Berkvens is actively committed to sustainable manufacturing methods. Most of our doors are FSC certified. Timber with the FSC certification provides the security that it conforms to the highest demands in terms of social, environmentally friendly and economically sound forest administration. Furthermore, Berkvens is NEN-EN-ISO 9001 : 2001 and ISO 14001 : 2004 certified. Our painted products are finished with a coating by the newest paint production line in Europe, using water-based paints. This paint street has been according to NeR. These are the Netherlands Emission Guidelines for Air, which is a national guideline, aimed at harmonizing the environmental permits in the Netherlands with respect to abatement of emissions to the air.
