Company description
Founded in the Netherlands in 1976, the Alpha Group of Companies has grown into one of the leading international trading enterprises in dairy products as well as other food products. While the products for industrial use, like milk powder, butter and eggs, still count for a major part of our business, products for household use, like branded consumer packing, are becoming increasingly important. Currently our turnover moves around 100 million EURO annually.
The group comprises of the following companies:
- 1. Alpha Milkpowders Holland : specialised in milk powders and dry milk derivatives.
- 2. Alpha Trading Company : specialised in butter and butter oil (AMF)
- 3. Alpha Food Products : specialised in fresh consumption eggs
- 4. Alpha Shipping & Forwarding : specialised in road transport, sea freight, storage and insurance
Our team is dynamic and very well experienced, combining flexibility and "the will to please" with indepth knowledge of products, business and worldwide suppliers' and buyers' requirements. This knowledge makes us an interesting partner in business, benefiting purchasers as well as suppliers.
In order to show our customers that service and quality are important to us, we only work with reliable manufacturers, which are all under strict superv supervision of the veterinary and health authorities. All our EU EU manufacturers are in possession of an EU health approval number, in accordance with EU regulation 852/2004, which not only means that they comply with all veterinary and health requirements, but also that they meet the complete HACCP standards. As of March 2003 we obtained our GMP+ certificate (Good Manufacturing Practices + HACCP). Besides that, we obtained our organic production certificate as of March 2006, which is part of EU regulation 2092/91. This regulation obliges companies to certify themselves, in case they produce or sell organic dairy products within the European Union.
